Map positions for array clones

Map positions of clones and lists of clones recommended for exclusion from analysis (see below) can be found at http://genomics.fhcrc.org/BACArrayer/BACArrayerLibrary/.

Human BAC array

Some sequence is known for each of the clones on the array and using this sequence information the clones have been positioned within the April 2003 and May 2004 draft assemblies. The map position files list positions for all clones that could be be confidently placed at a single location on the draft assemblies. Both the position of the clone on the array and its genomic position is listed.

A number of clones have been found to hybridize to multiple locations by fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH), or to a cytogenetic location inconsistent with their location in the sequence assembly and users are advised to exclude these clones from further data analysis. The clones in this category varies slightly depending on the sequence assembly used and so the corresponding map position and "clones to exclude" list should be used.

Mouse BAC array

Map positions for the mouse clones were obtained from the Sanger Centre. Clones that did not pass the Sanger Centre's FISH verification process are listed in "BAD-FISH-LIST_Sanger_Mouse_1Mb.txt".
