Affymetrix GeneChip® Information

   

The Affymetrix GeneChip product line includes a large selection of 25-mer oligo arrays, covering many organisms, which can be used for a wide variety of applications. For an overview of the Affymetrix GeneChip platform and product line, please visit their website.

Equipment in the DNA Array laboratory consists of a complete Affymetrix GeneChip system, including four GeneChip model 450 fluidic stations, two GeneChip model 640 hybridization ovens, and a GeneChip 3000 7G scanner with autoloader.

The following are instructions on how Cancer Consortium members can access Affymetrix GeneChip services at FHCRC. Those new to array technology or new to using the DNA Array laboratory are strongly encouraged to meet with lab personnel prior to planning a project. For non-consortium members interested in services please contact the DNA Array laboratory.

Each investigator is required to purchase GeneChip arrays directly through Affymetrix. Aside from Test3 GeneChip arrays, the Genomics Resource does not stock Affymetrix products. Current GeneChip pricing is available.
