Molecular biology data available from the resource include the major DNA and protein databases. Complementing local data capabilities are several Internet-wide information tools. Biocomputing maintains a list of relevant WWW links and supports several client/server applications which also operate over the Internet.
One major aspect of support is in database searching and similarity analysis of protein and DNA molecules. Biocomputing supports local tools to aid in this effort as well as tools which let scientists send their data via email or Web to remote sites for analysis.
For a detailed description of computing tools and training contact the resource staff scientist.
