The global alliance of ^The Breast Health Global Initiative (BHGI) and its development of breast health GUIDELINES are the catalyst for public health research and international demonstrations projects. International projects are currently being developed to validate and "operationalize" the GUIDELINES.

The BHGI alliance operates as a STRUCTURE FOR LINKAGES developing research, pilot and demonstration projects, through:

• Ongoing interdisciplinary communications;
• Cooperation & alliance building via the biennial Global Summit Consensus Conferences;
• The BHGI website;
• Research, pilot & demonstration projects between three core communities
  • A global Clinical Community
  • Advocacy & Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs)
  • Public Health Research
