Observing Bone Marrow Transplant Rounds

The purpose of this program is to promote research questions about cancer treatment and learn more about the goals and values of the Clinical Division. This program is available only to faculty, postdocs, students, and some staff at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center. Participants observe clinical rounds with the Fred Hutchinson Bone Marrow Transplant teams. The rounds begin at 8 AM and take 2-3 hours. Each person begins on the first of the month and is expected to attend rounds for five days a week for 2-4 weeks to fully understand and appreciate the transplantation process.

Due to the extensive time commitment and limited number of spots available, this program is primarily intended for postdoctoral researchers, graduate students, or faculty who are interested in learning more about cancer treatment. Other staff members may attend if space is available and they obtain prior permission from their supervisor.

All participants will be required to agree to a statement of confidentiality. For more information about observing Bone Marrow Transplant rounds or to sign up, contact Karen Peterson.
