Through Exercise and Thrive, survivors will build muscle mass and strength, increase flexibility and endurance, and improve capacity to perform daily activities. Exercise and Thrive may help reduce the severity of cancer's side effects, prevent unwanted weight changes and improve participants' energy levels and self-esteem. The final goal is to help cancer survivors develop their own physical fitness regimens so that they can continue their exercise activities after completing the program.

The Exercise and Thrive program is a benefit provided through the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center Survivorship Program and the YMCA of Greater Seattle.
Exercise & Thrive 3-tier Fee Program
Realizing that program participants have different abilities to pay, the YMCA has instituted a voluntary 3-tier fee program. You may choose the tier that is most suitable for you. Our goal is to serve all community income levels.
Tier I is our subsidized rate and does not reflect the true cost of the program.
Tier II is our partially subsidized fee for those who can pay a little more but still cannot afford the actual price of the program.
Tier III more closely accounts for the true costs of the program.
YMCA Facility Members: Tier I $25/ Tier II $60/ Tier III $90
Community Participants: Tier I $45/ Tier II $105/ Tier III $165
Participants have access to the YMCA for the duration of the program. Community participants who join the YMCA within one week of the program end date will have their joining fees waived. Financial assistance, to the extent possible, is available to those in need.
