Vitamin D, specifically vitamin D3 or cholecalciferol, has become quite the hot topic lately. Medical journals are overflowing with the latest research findings on vitamin D and the many ways it protects one's health, including cancer prevention. Vitamin D may help prevent cancer in several ways, including maintaining healthy cells with normal life spans, discouraging out-of-control cell reproduction, and hindering the formation of new blood vessels for tumors. Higher blood levels of vitamin D have been associated with substantially lower incidence rates of colon, breast, ovarian, renal, pancreatic, aggressive prostate and other cancers. Wishing you well,
