In partnership with Seattle City Light's Green Power Program, the Center has installed 12 solar panels on the south side of the Yale Building roof. The panels will generate 2,900 kilowatt-hours of electricity per year, which is equivalent to providing power for lighting 20 standard offices.

The solar project is intended to increase community awareness and education about solar energy, which reduces the Center's carbon dioxide emissions by 4,000 pounds per year.
