Individuals and teams may register to participate and raise money for immunotherapy research at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center. Proceeds directly support the Hutchinson Center. Online registration closes at 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, June 24, 2009.
To register multiple participants from the same computer, you may need to delete the cookies from your computer or use another browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, etc.). For questions, please e-mail us at shorerun@fhcrc.org.
Friends, family members or co-workers can have fun while raising money for cancer research by creating a Shore Run/Walk team! A team is any group of 10 or more people, can include all ages and abilities, and can be any combination of runners, walkers or wheelchair participants. The team captain needs to register online first, and then teammates can join the team.
Teams of 24 or more that register by Friday, June 5, 2009, have the option to special order a team shirt with their corporate logo or team name.
To have your registration materials included in your team's packet at Team Packet Pick-up at the Hutchinson Center, you must register by midnight on Saturday, June 20, 2009.

In-store registration is available Monday, June 8 through Thursday, June 25 at Super Jock 'n Jill until 5 p.m.
When you register in-person, you will receive your t-shirt, bib number and timing chip. Only runners will be issued a timing chip.

There is no fundraising requirement to participate in the Shore Run/Walk, though fundraising is strongly encouraged as all proceeds benefit immunotherapy research at the Hutchinson Center. The recommended fundraising goal for individual participants is $250, and the recommended team fundraising goal is $1,000.
Raise additional funds to support cancer research by asking friends, family and colleagues to make a donation to Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center. Online donors will receive a tax receipt immediately following their donation to the e-mail address they provide. Mail-in donations will receive a tax receipt following the Shore Run/Walk. All cash and check donations must be received by 9 a.m. day of race, Sunday, June 28, 2009 to be eligible for prizes. All online donations must be received by 3 p.m. on Friday, June 26, 2009 to be eligible for prizes.

All participants raising $250 or more in donations (excluding top three fundraisers) will be entered into a drawing. Three names will be drawn at the post-race Party-in-the-Park event. Each winner will receive two (2) coach, round-trip Continental Airlines tickets valid for lower 48 travel. Additional prizes include a two-night weekend stay in a one-bedroom suite at Residence Inn by Marriott-Seattle Downtown/Lake Union and more.
Prizes will also be awarded to the team that raises the most funds for the Hutchinson Center and for the largest team.

Entry fees are NON-REFUNDABLE and entries are NON-TRANSFERABLE. Once your entry has been received and accepted, you will not receive a refund if you cannot participate. You may not give or sell your number to anyone else. You may not transfer your entry to the following year.
If you registered and are unable to participate in the race, please e-mail us at shorerun@fhcrc.org. Please include your name, address, and T-shirt size. T-shirts will be mailed approximately 4-6 weeks after the event.

Run or walk in honor of someone who has battled or is battling cancer. For each donation of $10 you will receive a "tribute patch" that you can personalize with the name of the individual you wish to honor. After the race, place your patch on the banner in Madison Park. Tribute patches are available wherever you register in person. If you wish to register online or by mail and buy a patch, it will be held in your packet with your bib number, to be picked up Saturday at packet pick-up or Sunday at your starting area.

Baby joggers with hand brakes and a safety harness or hard-shell helmets are allowed in the 6.7-Mile Run, 5K Run and 5K Walk. Due to insurance requirements, strollers are only allowed in the 5K Walk. Dogs, skates, bicycles, skateboards, wagons and similar wheeled devices are not permitted in any of the events. Headphones are allowed.
